the rules,

So, read these. Each person is required to follow these, blah, blah, eh. You know how it goes. These are easy rules to follow, so at least read them. I'm not normal when it comes to my sites, so there may be some tweaks in here.
!general,
We have two general rules here. the first one is respect.
Don't just respect the admins, respect every one here.
Don't be rude to people. if you have a problem with someone,
take it to AIM, not on here! Like, we don't want to hear about
how you don't like Jim bob Joe and we don't want to see your fight with him either. Be respectful even if you're not a member. If you're not respectful to people, don't expect people to be respectful back to you and don't expect to stay long on this site. Treat others the way you wish to be treated. One of my favorite mottos.
The other general rule on The Future is Yours is have fun. what's the point of role playing if you don't have fun? Be creative with your role play, that's what makes it fun. If you're just one of those boring people who just use simple sentences and simple vocabulary and with boring characters... you ruin it. And everyone likes to have fun, right?

There is nothing more annoying when some one makes a beautiful character and then plots with me, and then they never do. I admit, I'm not that busy. I mostly sit here at my desk all day typing these things up, doing coding, editing celebrity pictures, role playing with you guys, and playing World of Warcraft. Some times I may just try doing them all at the same time. However, if you are a busy person where you can not be on here to post even a single post, please say so. Just so we admins know that you are a busy person, just be sure to answer the activity checks. They'll only run for three days, so at least push a little time in each day to check if there is one! We'll be holding activity checks each month, so if you're going on vacation or gone for the weekend, say some thing to the admins or on the c-box! We don't want you to get deleted because you went to Hawaii. so here's the awful truth. If you're not making one post every two weeks, unless you have a good excuse, or if you tell an admin that you're gonna be gone for two weeks plus, then you're gonna get deleted. Just one post will do well, for god's sake.
Each post must be over 300 words. We can under stand if you do a 200 word post every once in a blue moon, but you just cannot have every single post here be 200 words. It's easy hitting 300 words. Trust me. When I started role playing on one of these advanced sites, I thought it was going to be hard. But then I hit 300 in less then five minutes, so if I can do it, I'm sure that you can. I know that some of us like to write more then 300 words, and even some past 1'000. I know, because I'm the same way. So, there's no maximum for these words. It will be good if you write a 20'000 word post! Yeah, it may take a while for your partner to read, but that's really good. Just don't really expect me to hit 20'000 words, because I only do that in stories, so yeah. I'm going to quit my rambling on this paragraph and move on to the next one, just make sure that each post is over 300 words.
No god-modding and power-playing. That's just not cool, dude. Role play how you're supposed to. I mean, you don't want to be like those level ones on World of Warcraft that go around 'pwning' everyone. Or the level fifty eight death knights acting like their level eighty. Don't be those, please. Be detailed, please! C'mon, I've all ways put my posts detailed so I could just get more words, so why don't you do that? Simple sentences is for Neopets and Gaia. However, if you are new to this realm of role playing, we still love you! We are willing to teach you how to be a better role player, so don't feel left out. Just say that you're new, don't be shy! I mean, like I said before, I'm gonna be on here all the time. Maybe a little idle, but I can tell when someone types in the c-box. Just ask for me or Chrys and we'll help you out with role play.
We've all been on a dozen sites and this sites rules probably aren't different then any other site. But, we're different! ... or at least I am. -Shrugs-

So, you are here to role play, eh? Well, hold your horses for a moment. You have a little list of stuff to do, mkay? You can keep your random user name when you create an account. Just, once you make your character's application, be sure to change your display name to your character's FIRST LAST in fully lowercase letters, like harry judd! But, if you just HAVE to do your character's names in uppercase letters, we are not forcing you to do it. Also, if your character has a nickname(like Danny Jones), take the character's nickname that you prefer to call it instead of their full first name, as followed:
tom fletcher. As 'Tom' came from 'Thomas'. See? Easy as one, two, three. Also, put your OOC name under the "Personal Text" line when you modify your profile. The line is just after the avatar stuff.
Don't start role playing until you're accepted. easy,
right?! Don't post in the accepted place either, not cool. Post it in the 'Drying Ink' sub-board in the application one under Sign Ups.
Don't have any mary-sues or gary-stus. No one is perfect, right? True.
We have no limit on characters, so you can use yourself as your character or your friend(with permission first, of course). If a celebrity requests you don't use their pictures, don't use thier pictures, please. Before you get to posting, right after your application is accepted, post in the face claims and all that such. You don't have to make your character have a Myspace and such, but at least have them a cell phone and AIM. It's hard for all of us admins to remember who plays who, so you have to post in there. I mean, who would want a billion Demi Lovatos running around, now do we?
There's no limit on how many characters you can have. If you want to have fifteen characters, then we don't want to stop you. You have to keep them all active though, and if you're not posting once every two weeks with each
character, we're going to have to ask you to give that character up. Face claims are in high demand these days, guys. So if Johnny Depp bob isn't active, let someone else use him! And try to keep the gender count under control. We don't want a million chicks running around here, or we will have to put a girl ban on here. Those are so not cool, ya' know? So, don't have fifteen characters that are all the same gender.

So! We only have a few more rules for you here and then you're ready to join(probably thinking: 'FINALLY, eh? Haha, just read on a little more. There's not much more, so don't skip these, please!) Don't steal people's graphics. always credit people if they require you to. Say at least 'I got this graphic from Wanna Be Corrupted?! on CAUTION 2.0'. Because speaking of which, we like this site to look
awesome. I recommend for you to use the stuff off of CAUTION!, mostly because it has almost everything you need on here, and be sure to give credit to them, also. Celebrity pictures, play bys, relationship plots, etc, etc. Everything looks awesome if you code it nicely, and if you need help with one, just ask me or Chrys! Or one of the mods, when we get some. =)
NO IMAGES MUST BE OVER THE WIDTH OF 400. The height can be anything, just the width must be 400 or lower. If you have a width over 400, and you don't know how to re size it, there's a wondrous program on Photobucket if you create an account. There's really nothing to it, or, if you don't feel like/don't want to make a account on Photobucket, or if you did not get the picture from Photobucket, as one of the admins/mods if they can. I have my own Photobucket account, so just send the picture to me, and I'll re size it for you and send it back, mkay?
If you just get done with the reply to the thread you're role playing on with another person, inform them just once, just to remind them. Don't remind them every five minutes. It takes some time and some people are probably busy working on some thing else. Just remind them once every hour, or thirty minutes. And, don't demand for the person to reply to it, because that's a bit rude, got it memorized? Good.
So, I guess you are very ready to join the site and get to role playing, now that you have read the rules, right? Well, there is just one little thing that is required to make a character application on the board, mkay? I don't want people asking every two seconds what the pass word is, because you're supposed to read the rules!
The pass word is... bubblewrap

these rules were all made by RONNIE! they were made for
BIRGHT LIGHTS, LONG NIGHTS. if you take these, i'll send angry birds after you, like, fer serious. if you want to use them, ask, cause that'd be totally cool, but don't like, steal them OR take off this credit.
THANKS! <3
(I linked saying that I used it, mkay?)
